Toastmasters – Area L40 Speech Contest INFORMATION REQUEST
Fellow Club Officers within District L-40,
I hope this message finds you all doing well! My name is Jason Reynolds and I am currently serving as the Area L-40 Speech Contest Chair. I wanted to send you all a quick message with a few reminders about the contest coming up on March 10th. The details for the speech contest are as follows:
Date: Saturday, March 10th, 2012
Time: 2-4PM (Contestant and official briefing will begin at 1:30PM)
Location: The Hilton in College Station, Texas (Link to map)
Participating Clubs:
Silver Tongue Club – College Station, Texas
City of Bryan Club – Bryan, Texas
Outspoken Club – Conroe, Texas
Conroe Speaks Club – Conroe, Texas
Real Talk – Conroe, Texas
Aggie Toastmasters – College Station, Texas
With the contest quickly approaching, I ask that you please forward me the information for the two members that will represent your club (one for International, one for Tall Tales) by March 2nd at 5PM. Please send me the following information: Contestant name, email, phone number, the speech contest they will compete in (International or Tall Tales), and their speech title. Again, please send this NO LATER than March 2nd. If you are unable to provide this information by this deadline, please let me know ASAP.
Regarding contest officials, we currently have all of the positions filled. BUT, we will need plenty of help! Feel free to have any members who are interested in helping with set-up/tear-down contact me at this email or 979-450-1245 for more information. We would love any help we can get! Also, be sure to invite any and all who would like to attend (this includes members and guests!) – we will have seating set for 100 – let’s aim to fill the room up!
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or phone. I will be in touch over the next week or two. Have a great week!
P.S. – Be sure to invite your friends to the contest on Facebook! Link to event.
All the best,
Jason Reynolds ’12
